About Fish Hut

At Fish Hut, our mission is to expand access to the outdoors equitably by removing financial, cultural, and social barriers to participation. We provide free fishing gear, education, and mentorship so every young person can experience nature, regardless of background or income. Through shared outdoor experiences, we build community and a lasting connection to environmental stewardship.

Fish Hut is built and led by a diverse group of young people. Youth mentors design events, lead clinics, teach peers, and represent Fish Hut in their own communities. By trusting students with real responsibility, we help them develop a sense of civic ownership

Equity is central to everything we do. By creating inclusive spaces where youth participate and lead together, we strengthen understanding and belonging across communities.
